Sacred Scripture, Salvation History, and the Mass

Explore how the story of the Bible moves toward liturgical consummation between God and his people.

This course explores how the story of the Bible moves toward liturgical consummation between God and his people. This movement is historical (moving from the Old Testament to the New), as well as vertical (moving from the earthly to the heavenly). In Jesus Christ, we enter the new creation and heavenly temple. All of the Sacraments—quintessentially the Eucharist—make the Paschal Mystery present and enable us to participate in the worship of heaven.
