The General Instruction of the Roman Missal
The General Instruction of the Roman Missal is often misunderstood—treated on one hand as if it were comprised of merely generic guidelines that may or may not be followed, or on the other hand as if it were a club in the hands of rubricists to make everyone conform. This course considers the history and foundations of the General Instruction, its principles and their application to the celebration of Holy Mass.
